Introduction

Smart Photo Cleaner ("the App", "we", "us") is an iOS application developed by 13ants (13ants.team@gmail.com). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our App.

The short answer: we don't handle your information at all. The App was designed from the ground up to be completely offline and private. Your photos never leave your device.

Information We Collect

We collect no information whatsoever.

Smart Photo Cleaner does not collect, process, store, or transmit any personal data, photos, usage statistics, device identifiers, or any other information to any server or third party.

How the App Works

All processing in Smart Photo Cleaner is performed locally on your device:

• Photo analysis uses Apple's Vision framework (VNGenerateImageFeaturePrintRequest) — an on-device ML API that never sends data to Apple or anyone else.
• Scan results (metadata only — no image data) are stored in a local database on your device using GRDB.swift.
• The App uses Apple's PhotoKit framework to read your photo library — this access stays entirely on your device.
• No image data, thumbnails, or file contents are ever stored in the App's local database.

Network Access

Smart Photo Cleaner has no network entitlements. It cannot make internet connections. There are no API calls, no telemetry, no analytics pings, no crash reports transmitted to any server — not even ours.

Photo Library Access

The App requests access to your photo library solely to scan for clutter (duplicates, large files, screenshots, etc.). This access:

• Is used only on your device, only within the App.
• Is never shared with any third party.
• Can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

The App only reads photos for analysis metadata. Deletion happens only when you explicitly confirm it through the in-app interface, using Apple's standard PHAssetChangeRequest API.

Local Data Storage

The App stores a small local database containing scan results: asset identifiers (PHAsset IDs), similarity groupings, and your deletion/keep preferences. This data:

• Never contains raw image data or thumbnails.
• Is stored only on your device in the App's sandboxed container.
• Is deleted automatically when you uninstall the App.

Third-Party Services

Smart Photo Cleaner does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or social login providers. The App uses only Apple's native frameworks.

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any data from any user, including children under the age of 13. As we collect no data whatsoever, the App complies fully with COPPA and similar regulations.

Data Retention

Since we collect no data, there is nothing to retain or delete. All App data is stored locally on your device and is automatically removed when you uninstall the App.

Your Rights

Since no personal data is collected or processed by us, there is no data to access, correct, export, or delete on our end. All data the App uses stays on your device, under your full control.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
